We organized some fabulous weddings last Summer, but the Hindu marriage of Serena and Rohan stood out because of the dazzling colours, traditions and rituals. The splendid hamlet of Lucca was host to their celebrations, and what celebrations they were.
Weekend full of joy and emotion, enhanced by the glorious Tuscan surroundings!
Both Serena and Rohan live in London and are of Indian origin. They wanted to adhere to Hindu traditions for their big day and we were able to help them to create a weekend full of joy and emotion, enhanced by the glorious Tuscan surroundings!
The day before the wedding, all the girls gathered on the hamlet’s terrace under orange and fuchsia veils. They sang and chatted throughout the Mehndi moment, during which the hands and feet of the Bride are covered with marvelous henna tattoos.
The day of the Wedding was an explosion of colour and joy. The procession of the Groom surrounded by family and friends (called Baarat), approached the Wedding venue. The traditional rituals took place under the beautifully decorated Mandap and then followed the stylish reception. More than 200 guests enjoyed a seated gala dinner with 22 round tables filling the beautiful space. The catering was first class, with a wide selection of different menus to satisfy everyone’s needs.
A colourful stylish Hindu reception in warm and sunny Tuscany – a truly superb occasion which concluded with dancing and cocktails in the hamlet’s disco, a day to remember!
